SINGLE: KOMA Call On The “Horde” With Debut Single

Northern Irish metal band KOMA released their debut single titled “Horde” on 19 January 2020 and show they are a band to be reckoned with.

As their first offering as a new band KOMA are certainly setting the pace with “Horde”. Ominously starting with marching feet the track kicks straight into no nonsense metal groove. With raging vocals landing to lead you on the melodic riffs take on a real threatening feel. It just drops perfectly into the chorus punctuating it with a chugging slowness that makes it feel like a war anthem. The track has no compromise and lands home with a fantastic blend of crunchy chugging riffage, melodic headbanging rhythm and slamming metal sounds. If you close your eyes you can only see a horde following the tenets of Crom as they go to bloody uncompromising war. What a great track.

With their debut single, Horde, KOMA offers metal with a unique blend of melody, groove, crushing riffs and technical precision. For fans of Trivium, Lamb of God, Machine Head and Bullet For My Valentine, KOMA is a metal band from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

They released “Horde” as a single on 19 January 2020, and will follow it up on 22 February when they support Oracle at The Limelight, Belfast, with more shows to be announced in the coming weeks.

The band originally comprised bassist Bones Wilson and guitarist James Milliken before adding drummer Ellis Robinson and guitarist Michael Legge. This vastly experienced line-up was completed by the addition of vocalist Simon McElhone in late 2019. The band worked hard to write and perfect each track and soon developed a signature sound, combining the different influences of each member. In early 2020 the band entered the studio and recorded Horde.

KOMA will be recording its debut EP in the coming months while playing shows throughout Belfast. Horde is exclusively released on YouTube on 19 January 2020 and will be streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and all other streaming services from 26 January.
