The Night Owls play The BT Blues Club Ballymena 3 February 2018

On 3 February 2018, the Night Owls are playing The BT Blues Club in Ballymena, County Antrim. Doors open at 3.30pm, everyone welcome.

The BT Blues Club can be found at Church Street Arcade, Church St, Ballymena BT43 6DG

The Night Owls were formed roughly 2 years ago by 5 individuals with diverse musical backgrounds.

Chrissy (vocals), left Queens university, with a music degree, and had a 6 year spell singing at pubs, clubs, festivals and weddings all over Northern Ireland. Her love of soul and rockabilly comes through in her powerful vocals.

Most of the gigs she did were with her father, Mike (rhythm guitar). His musical background was in the ska and punk scene, where he plied and honed his aggressive rhythm skills.

David’s (lead guitar) passion lies in hard rock and heavy metal. Being a much sought after lead player, he spent time with local legendary rock band, Stormzone, and toured mainland U.K. with metal merchants, Saxon.

Neil (drums) hails from South Wales originally and is a regular to Saturday BT club gigs. He played all over Wales and Southern England with his old band, Broken Heroes, doing 1800 gigs in 16 years, backing some ’70s classic rock bands along the way. Neil’s taste is mainly rock n blues.

David and Neil have both had spells in the Kiss tribute band, Hotter than Hell. Brian (bass) is new to the band and brings his own style of power pop to it. He has played all over the province not only as a bassist but also as a lead guitar player.

Sure why not drop in and have a listen.

On a side note Mike also runs the World of Owls which is really worth a visit with the family.
