NEWS: Toronto Power Trio TUMBLE Releasing Their Debut EP “Lost In Light” on May 2, 2025 Through Echodelick Records (US) and Stickman Records (EU)

Toronto power trio TUMBLE is set to release their debut EP, Lost In Light, on May 2, 2025, through Echodelick Records (US) and Stickman Records (EU)—a blistering, 20-minute dive into the heart of heavy psychedelic rock and proto-metal. Fueled by thunderous riffs, hypnotic grooves, and an unrelenting live energy, Lost In Light is a bold statement from a band that refuses to hold back.

Recorded live off the floor at ProGold Studios with legendary Ian Blurton at the helm, Lost In Light strips away the polish of modern production in favor of something raw, visceral, and immediate. No click tracks, no unnecessary overdubs—just the sheer force of three musicians locked into a relentless groove. The result is an album that breathes, sways, and explodes with the reckless abandon of a band that thrives on pushing their sound to its breaking point.

The EP opens with “Laid By Fear,” an ominous, slow-building behemoth that fades in like a shadow before bursting into a doom-laden, hypnotic riff, setting the tone for the album’s deep dive into existential dread and altered states of consciousness. It’s a song that feels like teetering on the edge of oblivion and loving every second of it.

That tension is broken by “The Less I Know,” a full-throttle bluesy psych-rock ripper that channels the reckless abandon of early MC5 and Blue Cheer, with Liam Deak’s wailing guitar soaring over a locked-in rhythm section. It’s an electrified, high-energy burner that feels like an anthem for those who understand that the more you dig for meaning, the less you find.

“Dead By Rumour” follows, leaning hard into 70s sleaze rock swagger, with a chorus that grooves and snarls before a delay-drenched psychedelic solo melts into oblivion. There’s a chaotic energy to it—a band unafraid to let things spiral out of control before yanking the reins back just in time. The cliffhanger solo, the thunderous return to the riff—everything about it feels like riding the edge between mayhem and precision.

Side two kicks off with “Sullen Slaves,” a track that fires on all cylinders from the jump, delivering one of the most melodic and rhythmically infectious moments on the EP. The song builds and collapses, a primal stomp giving way to an explosive proto-doom freakout, complete with frenetic solos and a crushing final push. There’s something almost anthemic buried within the chaos—a defiant roar against the trappings of modern society.

Closing out the EP is “Wings Of Gold,” an all-out riff-heavy assault that careens forward with unrelenting momentum before descending into a massive, doom-laden instrumental section. The Geezer Butler-esque bass groove gives the song an irresistible swing, while Will Adams’ drumming brings the whole thing down like a hammer. The song—both in sound and theme—leans into the myth of Icarus, a warning wrapped in high-octane rock fury. The lyrics paint a world flying too close to the sun, driven by greed and power, doomed to crash and burn.

At its core, Lost In Light is an album built on tension and release, power and restraint, euphoria and destruction. It’s an album that rages against the alienation and existential dread of modern life, captured in five tracks that never let up. Everything here works—the songwriting, the riffs, the dynamics, the sheer force of energy—all channeled through Blurton’s masterful production, which captures the band at their heaviest and most alive.

This is TUMBLE at full power—loud, unpredictable, and unrelenting. A band that thrives in the chaotic interplay between instinct and intention, refusing to be anything but themselves. Lost In Light doesn’t just demand your attention—it grabs you by the collar and drags you into the abyss. And once you’re there, you won’t want to leave.

About TUMBLE:

Formed in Toronto, Canada, in 2022, TUMBLE is a hard-hitting power trio that fuses hard rock, psychedelic rock, and proto-metal into a raw, high-voltage sound that pays homage to the underground heavy rock movement of the late ’60s and early ’70s. With minimal effects, loud tube amps, and an uncompromising live energy, the band strips rock ‘n’ roll down to its most primal form—driven by ferocious riffs, dynamic rhythms, and hypnotic grooves.

TUMBLE’s music is as much about feel as it is about power, rejecting the overproduced polish of modern rock in favor of something more organic, untamed, and immediate. Taking cues from bands like BLACK SABBATH, BLUE CHEER, PENTAGRAM, and MC5, they blend blues-infused psychedelia with heavy, swinging riffs and a no-nonsense attitude. All of their recorded material is tracked live off the floor with no click track, allowing for a loose, natural feel and a tangible sense of danger in their performances.

The band consists of Liam Deak on guitar and vocals, Tarun Dawar on bass, and Adam Guerra on drums. Together, they create a sound that is both thunderous and unrestrained, with each instrument pushing the others to their limits. Their chemistry is built on instinct and improvisation, allowing them to craft dynamic and unpredictable performances both in the studio and on stage.

Since their inception, TUMBLE has built a reputation for explosive live shows, sharing the stage with bands like CROWN LANDS, MONSTER TRUCK, and IAN BLURTON’S FUTURE NOW. In just two years, they’ve gone from playing their first gig at the legendary LEE’S PALACE to earning praise from Bobby Liebling of PENTAGRAM for their cover of “Earth Flight.” Their commitment to keeping rock raw and unfiltered has earned them a dedicated following and growing recognition in the underground rock scene.

Their upcoming EP, Lost In Light, recorded with Ian Blurton at PROGOLD STUDIOS, is a testament to the band’s ethos—five tracks of unrelenting, fuzz-drenched rock ‘n’ roll that rage against existential dread, alienation, and self-destruction. Set for release on May 2, 2025, via Echodelick Records (US) and Stickman Records (EU), the record captures TUMBLE at their heaviest and most alive.
