NEWS: Time To Visit DEADSIDE As It Drops Onto Steam

In DEADSIDE, developed by Bad Pixel Studio, you are immediately immersed into a realistic game play in a grim setting of a post apocalyptic world. It aims to keep the balance between the dynamic of a shooter and a hardcore survival game. The game world does not suggest fantastic elements like zombies or anomalies but focuses the player’s attention on realistic aspects of life in the ruins of a dead civilization.

In the game you can find it all – an open post-apocalyptic world, in-world survival mechanics, real world weapons, land and water based transport, crafting, building, anything you need to survive and get an adrenaline rush!

Deadside is a hardcore multiplayer shooter with wide open spaces as well as gaming possibilities and is still under active development. But at just £15.59 for the base game and only £21.55 for the base game and a supporters pack, that’s hard to say no to. The price point, even for a “Still In Development Game”, is very hard to ignore for those who can be reticent about trying a new game.

You can download from Steam now.

Deadside takes place in a postapocalyptic, world – reminiscent of the huge number of zombie movies and tv series that have been pumped out. In this game, the creators focus on that desperation for survival as civilization readjusts to the brutal realities.

Bad Pixel studio, made themselves known to the world with the titles of UFO Online: Invasion and VR Enigma.

In game you will meet characters belonging to different factions like security forces still loyal to the former government, cannibal groups living in small villages, bandits interested in your property, lonely wanderers and other players. So it is a PvE and a PvP all in the one world, much like what many would expect from an MMO. However, unlike World of Warcraft. this little gem has the grittiness that many gamers also crave. Just look at DayZ and Escape From Tarkov.

You can view the world through choosing between Third Person Perspective or First Person Perspective as you fight or co-operate with other players, and complete missions on an open world map of about 225 square kilometres, including forests, abandoned houses, rivers, roads and open fields. On this map you will also find “Green Zones”,where you can buy ammo, food and exchange information about the world from traders, and also store items. “Green Zones” are safe zones where it is not possible to fight other players.

Guns available to you have their own sets of animation, sounds and have advanced ballistic dynamics. as the developers try to make the game more realistic.. Even more in the mix is your ability to build your own shelters. Definitely worth trying out for both casual and hardcore gamers.
