Japanese Blends a little Stairway to Heaven
Japan has certainly given us lots of things, like Samurai, ninjas, Takeshi’s Castle, Baby Metal, Manga, Anime, and lots of material for Clive James.
Now they have given us Blends. They are a musical mix of East meeting West. The Blends youtube channel is full of awesome videos of covers they do with traditional Japanese instrument. And they just keep pumping them out, with each video having a small introductory piece about the instruments being used. I think this is a great idea. Having fun listening to a great cover and learning something new. All at the same time.
