Dyad have some Bad Habits

Sometimes it is a real privilege to be able to write stuff about the things that you like, and find out more about new people, music, bands, games, friends and connections.

Again this is one such instance that after a review of a big gig I was sent a link to a Co. Tyrone band called Dyad. They had just released their single “Bad Habits”.

“Bad Habits” is such a refreshingly strange track. Its a whole mixture of grungy stoner rock with a chunky thick guitar sound that just rolls backward and forward, up and down, as the rhythm trudges onward with purpose with a small slow down to catch its breath before picking up the pace again.

It starts off with a wonderful reverberating rhythm before kicking into a fuzzy rumbling groove with vocals sounding like a very young Kurt Cobain.

It rumbles on like a wall of sound punctuated every so often with bursting intense vocal screams. This is passionate grunge rock n roll from one guitarist/vocalist and one drummer that has not been heard in quite some time. You can definitely hear the influences but they make this tune their very own
