When you find a good Mustasch

Just came across Mustasch (Thanks Youtube!)

Mustasch are from Sweden and have been creating rock since 1998. In 2001 they released their first EP ‘The True Sound of the New West’, and started to make a name for themselves in the Swedish metal scene. They chose the name Mustasch because many of their musical heroes had moustaches; such as Freddie Mercury from Queen and Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath.

The band went on to release ‘Above All’ in 2002 and ‘Ratsafari’ in 2003, both of which were nominated for Swedish Grammies and helped the band to build their reputation. The band continued to tour hard, and released Powerhouse in 2005. In 2006 they released an EP entitled ‘Parasite!’ which was followed up with their 2007 album, Latest Version of the Truth, helping them gain their first Swedish Grammy award. In 2009/10 Mustasch released their self titled album Mustasch, in 2012 they released ‘Sounds like Hell, Looks like Heaven’, ‘Thank you for the Demon’ in 2014 and finally in 2015 ‘Testosterone’.

I love the way Ralf Gyllenhammar looks like a cross between Lemmy, Bronson and James Hetfield as he rocks his mustache and beard. Ralf’s voice and some of the tracks like ‘Double Nature’ reminds me a lot of The Cult. Check them out on Spotify, iTunes, Facebook and Instagram

Their latest single is ‘Lawbreaker’ and I also added ‘Double Nature’ as I quite liked that two – so a double whammy in this post!! Lucky you, eh?

If you like them and wouldn’t mind adding to your cd collection you can buy them through my affiliate link to Amazon below.
