NEWS: PIC (PAWNS IN CHESS) To Release Album “Hiding Places” On 6 December

PIC (Pawns in Chess) will release their album “Hiding Places” on 6th December through Volcano Promotions.

Hiding Places” delivers 5 old school hard rocking, blues infused tracks “7878“, “On White Feet“, “Morning Lust“, “Hiding Places” and “Red Moon“.  Each track is laden with a catchy riff laden grooved up tune overlaid with 70’s Signe Toly Anderson -esque vocals. Its like Black Sabbath and Jefferosn Airplane went on a bluesed up bender With a bit of Led Zepplin thrown in for good measure.  Giulia Chinaglia, lead guitar and main vocalist has a powerful voice that just pulls you back to the heady days of strong female fronted bands in the 60s and 70s – clear, strong and full of seductive haze. It fits perfectly with the style of the songs, full of bluesy rock that just transport you to a place where you want to lie back and chill whilst slowly headbanging in a smoky purple haze.

PIC (Pawns In Chess) is a Rock Power Trio from Torino (Italy), formed in 2017. The band was influenced by Blues and Hard Rock legends such as B.B. King and Led Zeppelin. The idea for the name of the group comes from the lyrics of the song “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath. During the first three years of activity, the band recorded a 5 songs demo and since May 2019 started the collaboration with Italian label Volcano Records & Promotions, recording the EP “Hiding Places”, produced by Alessandro Liccardo, guitarist for the band Hangarvain.

The ensemble played live in North of Italy as the main act and took part to several festivals and contests, playing gigs at the Legend Club in Milano and the “Tony Mills Festival”
