NEWS: NOWHERE TO BE FOUND New Single ‘Traverse’ Features Matty Mullins Of Memphis May Fire
Forming in 2014, Portuguese Alternative Metal group NOWHERE TO BE FOUND‘s success has seen them go from strength to strength. 2016 saw the band, a trio of musicians called INSCH, launch their debut album, “Safe Haven”, entirely recorded and produced by the band themselves which hit top 10 national digital sales in its first week.
After a lineup change in 2017, the band was reborn into NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, a quartet with João Quintais (lead guitar) and with a new, heavier sound. The same year saw them collaborate with Emily Lazar of September Mourning while 2018 saw the commencement of their latest album, set to be released early 2019.
NOWHERE TO BE FOUND’s second studio album is currently in the production stage, with the 2017 Producer of the year, Henrik Udd (Bring Me The Horizon, Architects) at WRecords Studios and is set for release early 2019.
Their latest track “Traverse“, taken from the album, was just released on 7th February, was mastered by New York based Grammy award winner Ted Jensen (Metallica, Green Day, Deftones, Sipknot) features vocals from renowned Metalcore band Memphis May Fire.
“Traverse“, featuring the vocals from Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire, is a great single that opens with an almost cyberpunk style audio intro to build a bit of tension before a thunderous industrial wall of sound rolls forth. The back and forth between Tiago and Matty works beautifully with clean but angry vocals fitting in with the energetic rhythm of the guitars, bass and drums. The chorus carries a wonderfully catchy and harmonic “Be There For You” . The slowed down bridge helps keep the tension in a treacle like suspension before the vocals kick back in to speed it all back up again. The added vocal effects employed gives the song a definite cyberpunk feel. There are continual slowdowns before the song builds back up creating a frustration-like tension throughout the track that gives it an aggressive energy.
