NEWS: Foxy Shazam share captivating new single “Pink Sky” – Debut 360 interactive Metimmerse website – New album Animality Opera out 3/20

Today, slightly unhinged rock n’ roll outfit Foxy Shazam are proud to share their new single “Pink Sky”, which will appear on their upcoming ninth studio album Animality Opera out March 20th on the bands boutique label EEEOOOAH. A celebration of the creative journey of the band, the new album will pull listeners into the past, present and future on an aural rollercoaster ride for the ages. Acclaimed for their over-the-top aesthetic sensibility and fearless songwriting, Foxy roars triumphantly on their latest tune.  Soaring and theatrical while encapsulating an almost laid-back surf rock style, the new song is dripping in musical nuance. Thoughtfully layered horns, guitars, and keys take the listener on a journey across a lush sonic landscape, culminating in a powerful spoken word verse by fellow artist and collaborator Shamon Cassette. The song serves as a worthy follow up to previous single “RHUMBATORIUM”, showcasing a more subdued but nonetheless captivating side of the band. You can stream “Pink Sky” here.

“This song starts off talking about our guitar player trying to play guitar while driving (‘Six string in the shotgun / i’m reaching to feel’), on a trip through the country.” explains maestro Eric Nally. “Then, it turns into how many ways there are to appreciate music (‘The song’s a pretty lady as she’s walking by my ears’). Maybe it’s about our music. We play it on the porch and give it away for free. We travel deep into the countryside of our minds to find the song…and that beautiful pink sky.” 

Accompanying the new song is the first chapter of an immersive 3D environment crafted around the creative vision of the band.
