LORDI have released their first single and lyric video for ‘Your Tongue’s Got The Cat‘, taken from their new album ‘Sexorcism’ and it confirms Lordi will always be Lordi. What a Hard Rock Hallelujah that is too!!

Having witnessed these Finnish metallers dumbfound the prim world of Eurovision by bringing them to the brink of the Arockalypse they deservedly won. This was probably the first time many had come across this wonderfully grotesque band. Hard rocking, horrific, morbid, and pure entertainment they have some of the catchiest tunes in the world.

Now they enter a new epoch of metal with the release their 9th studio album ”Sexorcism”, which is said to be their most controversial album to date, on May 25th 2018 – being an uncensored shot with a full on in-your-face attitude that is Lordi’s brand. “Sexorcism” was recorded and mixed at the legendary Finnvox studios by Mikko Karmila, who is no stranger to the band being the producer of the band’s 2014 release ”Scare Force One”.

The single, ‘Your Tongue’s Got The Cat‘, is just another in a long line of Lordi songs that you can’t stop listening to, as if it possesses you and holds that grip tight. Who else could make a song about your love becoming a possessed demon who eats your cat Fluffy, but you still hang around for her?

It is an incredible eurotrashy metal song that is still as catchy as all their previous output. With that slow build up intro that they do so well, Lordi’s vocals crawl in from the depths of Hell as he effuses a ballad of twisted nervous love for a glowing eyed demon when Hell stole his baby. It is full blooded and chunk full of pure blood red horror inspired joy. It is another masterful example of a great song with bizarre lyrics and heavy metal.

If Trick or Treat was to be made today it would be centred around Lordi instead of Sammi Curr.
