Bands are not just competing for a chance to win a coveted slot at Bloodstock 2019 this year. There will also be 2 separate prizes, to include a day’s studio time to record, mix and master a track courtesy of JSR Audio and a free video shoot with Exposing Shadows Photography. In addition, Voodoo Belfast have offered to cover the wining bands travel expenses, up to the value of £400.

RAVENLIGHT
Northern Ireland based Symphonic Power metal band Ravenlight formed in January 2018 by Rebecca Feeney and John Connor.

Ravenlight quickly got to work and released their first single ‘Where the Stars Grow’ in March 2018 to great reception. They then went back into the studio with the goal of creating an EP that would showcase all facets of the band such as beautiful melancholy, fast heavy metal and ear catching melodic hooks.

After spending the following months in the studio, they put together 4 tracks that showcase these core pillars of the band, and released ‘End of the World’ in September 2018.

ROSCO’S RIOT

Rosco’s Riot are a heavy rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Lots of low down, dirty riffs, thunderous rhythm and screaming guitar. Full on Rock and Roll! \m/

TOOMS
The world’s first slippery metal band. TOOMS are a filthy, amorphous blend of sludge and punk. The band delivers doom laden riffage, groovy basslines and short fast freak-outs. May induce whiteners on all of the sleepy innocents.

VICTIM ROYAL
“Soaring twin lead guitars, crushing breakdowns and heavy groove in the rhythm section make Victim Royal a serious live force. Their three guitarists each bring riffs and melodies in equal measure and ferocity, yet leaving room for their frontman to lead the way in catchy, anthemic choruses. Victim Royal are a sharp shock to tired Metal blueprints.”
